More than 500 students from the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) each year have the chance to apply for an internship in local, regional, national and international companies. The Center for Employment Guidance and Information (COIE) of the UPCT manages the programmes offered by companies, providing undergraduate and postgraduate students with access to more than 1000 internship offers.

Training

UPCT has launched an initiative that involves intermediation in the labor market and to some extent the attainment of employment for UPCT graduates. The Bureau of Employment Management was created with the purpose of facilitating the incorporation of UPCT graduates into the labor market, fostering the predisposition, skills and knowledge that students and graduates must have for the Labor Market. This aims to improve the theoretical-practical training of young people for better job placement.

Business practice will allow you to develop your professional skills such as teamwork, communication with clients and colleagues, problem solving, etc., which will then improve your career. The internships provided by business companies will help you acquire the much demanded professional experience that companies require. UPCT imparts the degrees most demanded by companies in Spain

UPCT’s purpose is to facilitate the incorporation into the world of job possibilities of its graduates. Several of the programmes offered at UPCT are related to professions that, according to official data, provide more opportunities for students to access the labor market and do so more easily.

In recent years, the employability indexes of UPCT graduates are almost 90%. The Center for Employment Guidance and Information (COIE) of the UPCT receives and manages, through the Employment Exchange, job offers from numerous companies that have trust in UPCT for their process of selection of human resources. The COIE has as one of its most important objectives, acting as an intermediary between companies and university graduates to ensure UPCT graduates are presented with the best job opportunities.

I love UPCT for the architecture of its ancient buildings and especially the School of Business where I study. I have never seen such an Erasmus group like the one in this University. I like meeting people from Europe. Cartagena is, in my opinion, a small paradise.
