Housing
The University Residences of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena are the Alberto Colao Residence Hall and the Calle Caballero Residence Hall. They are two university centers of public administration, whose main function is to provide accommodation and maintenance for students of UPCT.
The residences of the UPCT are integrated in the University in order to provide students with quality accommodation at an affordable price in which they can enjoy their stay, foster a study environment among residents, enhance the university vocation, inculcating in its residents the sense of responsibility, the spirit of coexistence and solidarity, companionship, dialogue and cooperation.
International students can stay in the University Residence Hall provided they are enrolled in an official degree. Additionally, the university regularly publishes flat rental offers on its Facebook profile. The monthly cost for one room is between 140 and 200 euros, household bills not included.
Close to the campus you will find two dormitories that belong to the UPCT. The monthly price for a room is between 450 and 500 euros. The price includes canteen access to 3 meals a day and access to other facilities and services.
RESIDENCE ALBERTO COLAO
The Alberto Colao Residence has 160 single rooms with shared toilet, equipped with upholstered base and mattress (90×200), wardrobe, bookshelf, double study table, chair, washbasin, heating and network point, plus 5 air-conditioned apartments with full bathrooms.
RESIDENCE CABALLERO STREET
The Caballero Street Residence has 33 individual air-conditioned rooms with Internet, equipped with a wardrobe, bookshelf, study table, chair and a bathroom with shower. In individual rooms, the upholstered base and mattress are 90×200. The superior single and double rooms are equipped with television and are more spacious, with an upholstered base and mattress of 110×200 and 150×200.
I love UPCT for the architecture of its ancient buildings and especially the School of Business where I study. I have never seen such an Erasmus group like the one in this University. I like meeting people from Europe. Cartagena is, in my opinion, a small paradise.

Residents enjoy a full dining experience consisting of breakfast, lunch and
dinner, every day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
Laundry
Both residences provide all residents with a set of sheets, including a
pillowcase. The bedding is washed once a week. Temporary residents are
provided with winter bedding and amenities. Both residences also have a
self-service washer and dryer available to all residents.
Study rooms
Alberto Colao has a room for group study, a room for architectural works
and a study room for about 40 people.
Calle Caballero has a study room for 6 people.
Leisure rooms
Residence Alberto Colao has several common spaces for leisure such as TV
rooms, consoles rooms, table tennis, air table, pool table and table football.
Residence Calle Caballero has a TV room.
Fitness center
Residence Alberto Colao has a fully equipped gym with cardio machines,
fitness machines and bodybuilding.
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 13:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00.
